Je viens d'installer plusieurs nouveaux disques durs dans une machine et j'ai remarqué que l'un d'entre eux présentait deux erreurs. smartctl -x

Comme vous pouvez le voir, les heures de mise sous tension du disque sont de 520 (ce qui est exact, car je l'ai depuis moins d'un mois), mais les deux erreurs indiquent qu'elles se sont produites à 10610 heures et 16878 heures - évidemment impossible.
Qu'est-ce qui se passe ici ? Les erreurs sont-elles réelles ? Inquiétantes ? Mon fournisseur pourrait-il falsifier l'odomètre ?
Mise à jour
(J'aurais eu ça bien plus tôt, mais HGST Western Digital :/
est vraiment peu serviable (pourquoi donnent-ils des numéros de série aux lecteurs OEM s'ils ne conservent aucune information à leur sujet ?), et lent à répondre également).
Lorsque je les ai installés, j'avais remarqué qu'ils n'avaient pas les dates de fabrication sur les étiquettes comme mes anciens modèles, mais j'ai simplement attribué cela au fait que le fabricant ne les imprimait plus et je n'ai rien pensé de plus jusqu'à ce que je vois La grande réponse de Deltik. Je n'avais pas pensé qu'elles seraient (ou pourraient effectivement) être effacées.
Après l'échec de mes tentatives pour obtenir une réponse officielle du fabricant (le nouveau propriétaire), je les ai toutes récupérées et j'ai utilisé mon scanner à plat, avec les paramètres maximum. En faisant le bon vieux zoom et l'agrandissement, j'ai pu repérer les preuves que chacune d'entre elles avait été effacée. Voici l'un des exemples les plus faciles à lire :

Alors, oui. Tous les disques ont des marques subtiles restantes de cette tentative délibérée de fraude, et ils sont tous de mars/avril/mai 2015. Pas tout à fait ce que "nouveau" signifie à la fin du mois de novembre 2018.
De plus, comme certains des autres commentateurs, je suis assez choqué que SMART puisse être subverti de cette façon. N'est-il pas en grande partie inutile s'il peut être réinitialisé ?
Je vais poursuivre cette affaire, croyez-moi. Surveillez cet espace.
