Comment puis-je faire fonctionner mon troisième écran (ordinateur portable + deux moniteurs) avec les pilotes nvidia ?

J'ai un ordinateur portable avec GeForce GTX 560M et j'utilise les pilotes nvidia sur Ubuntu 11.10 pour prendre en charge un deuxième moniteur avec twinview, ce qui fonctionne bien.

Lorsque j'exécute nvidia-settings et que je connecte mon troisième moniteur (en comptant l'écran de l'ordinateur portable), nvidia-settings se fige indéfiniment si je choisis de l'utiliser également comme twinview. Si je choisis de l'afficher comme un écran X séparé, que j'enregistre les paramètres et que je redémarre, ce paramètre n'est jamais appliqué. Voici le Xorg.conf créé par nvidia lors de la sauvegarde :

Plus de 2 moniteurs ne sont pas bien supportés par les outils GUI, d'après mon expérience. Il est possible de configurer le troisième moniteur manuellement dans xorg.conf, mais il n'y aura pas de comportement plug-n-play. Vous aurez besoin d'une section supplémentaire Device, Screen, and Monitor pour activer le troisième moniteur, puis ajouter le Screen à la section ServerLayout. Voici mon écran quadruple fonctionnel xorg.conf à titre d'exemple :

Je ne vois pas de troisième moniteur dans votre fichier xorg.conf, essayez peut-être de l'ajouter ? (avant de faire quoi que ce soit, copiez votre fichier xorg.conf.
