Je me demande pourquoi le nombre de connexions autorisées est supérieur au nombre de connexions autorisées. max_connections
limite ? mysql ne devrait-il pas refuser plus de connexions ou élaguer lentement les anciennes ? D'après les logs, il semblerait que ce soit la deuxième hypothèse qui soit vraie ?

Cela signifie-t-il qu'il n'est pas important de fermer les anciennes connexions si les données ne sont plus nécessaires puisque mysql les élaguera lentement de toute façon ?
