Y a-t-il des différences entre `/etc` et `/private/etc` ?

Sur i386/darwin10.0/10.7.0 :

Donc /etc est un symlink. Vers /private/etc, qui est un répertoire. Ils ont tous les deux le même contenu. Il en va de même pour /tmp et /var.
