EL 7.2 ne parvient pas à exécuter la personnalisation avec open-vm-tools 9.10

Quelqu'un a-t-il réussi à faire fonctionner des personnalisations d'invités avec des invités EL (RHEL ou CentOS) 7.2 ?

Le système est VMware vCloud Director 5.6.5 et VMware ESXi 5.5.

La v7.2 est livrée avec open-vm-tools 9.10.2, qui est censé inclure tous les équivalents nécessaires de VMware Tools.

J'ai essayé de définir la chaîne 7.0 dans /etc/redhat-release. J'ai installé perl. Je n'ai pas essayé de rétrograder vers les anciens paquets open-vm-tools + vmware-deployPkg car je voudrais m'en tenir aux paquets 7.2.

J'ai regardé un peu plus l'image et j'ai remarqué que les exécutables perl étaient tous deux de 0 kb. Je n'ai aucune idée de comment cela est arrivé, mais je suis prêt à blâmer plusieurs de mes tests et redémarrages ratés.

Pour une référence future, et pour les personnes qui veulent un contrôle total des paquets à partir de l'ISO, cela devrait vous permettre d'être opérationnel. Cela créera également un modèle de travail sans nécessiter d'accès à Internet (yum)...

Une remarque supplémentaire - Vous devez modifier le fichier /etc/redhat-release pour CentOS7.2, mais les étapes ci-dessus fonctionnent également pour cette version.
